You Know What Really Bugs Me....?

....*Texting. I mean come on people. Do you really and truly have to be stuck in your cell phone all day? No offense but I can almost guarantee the world will NOT end if you can't touch your cell phone for two seconds. (I know. I'm crazy aren't I.) Okay okay I know. I used to be a *gulp* texter. And in some situations I will condone it. (Like if you're talking to someone I highly approve of and you let me read what you're saying to them) ;). BUT some people have just taken it way too far. It seems pretty ironic to me that you're missing out talking to people in real life because you're too busy virtually talking to people. Why do I have a feeling this whole generation will suffer from eye strain and unable-to-use-one's-hands syndrome.....*sigh*. Okay rant over. And no, I won't hate you forever and attempt to murder you in your sleep if you text. Just don't do it when you're talking to me (though I will make exceptions depending on how awesome you are...).

...*Having to use the library computer so much because I can only use my home computer between the hours of 3-6 PM. Yeah just don't even ask....

....*Evasive people who never give you a straight answer about anything. Just know I will not hesitate to throttle an answer out of you if you persist on messing with my mind....;)

....*Not being able to find a job because people take one look at you, think "Oh....It's one of those....*gasp*....teenagers" and then patronize you by saying, "I'm so very sorry, hun, but we're not hiring right now...." (Yep. I'm sure you're just being eaten alive by all your pity for me...).

Sorry for all my cynicalness. I'm not really in that bad a mood and I'm not as angsty as this blog applies. I'm just getting some things off my chest.....You know how I am. ;)

I understand I was like this before, now I lost the reason to be dependent on the cell all the time ...
And do not apologize, it's your blog and it's great that you can move some things from the inside

Omg Hannah, I totally agree with you! I have just never understood how all these people are addicted to texting. Honestly, to me it's just kind of a pain lol, having to press all the buttons. I just do it sometimes if I have to ask someone a quick question or maybe to talk to a long-distance friend, but even that I just use facebook or e-mail more. But yeah, I just don't understand people being addicted to it and constantly texting people who they probably already see all the time! And if you actually live near the person than it's better to just talk face to face!

Oh, and I can definitely empathize about not being able to get a job! I've been looking too. I went to four places, two of which said they weren't hiring, and then one of them, he said he had about 30 applications. So he'll probably just hire an older person!

Funny post! Not only do some people text too much, they talk too much. No one is that important that they need to be reached all the time...well, maybe Obama, as he might want to start a war somewhere. Or something.

I'll ask...why can't you use the computer after 6? And I'm evasive. I enjoy it. It drives people nuts. Try it sometime.

If I were hiring, I would hire teenagers and work them to the bone. It would be win win - I would get my work done, and the teenagers would make money and be so tired they would have no time for texting and cynicism.

hannah - love your blog - honesty personified! i can totally relate to your experiences in the job market - except i'm at the other end of the spectrum. prospective employers take one look at my age and say "oh i'm sorry, you're just a little too OLD for what we're looking for." (course you know they don't say old, that is implied in everything else they say)
Hang in there - teenagers have a LOT to offer the world and one day some lucky employer is going to recognize that and snap you right up! good luck!

haha i hate the texting thing! my 'friend' would do this ALL THE TIME! She would say sorry and continue, did I mention she was texting friends of hers who HATE me? So that was great, hence the 'friend' bit. im glad there are some normal, funny, nice, maybe a LITTLE cynical and God loving gals in the world. Keep being awesome!

Lol hilarious. I used to be a text person but I don't text like that anymore. Especially since I haven't had my cell phone for about 2 months. Even if I had one I don't care much about texting unless I need to check on my kids while I'm at work.
